The AKC adsorber is a pressure vessel filled with activated carbon. There are flow distributors at the inlet and outlet openings of the adsorber, which distribute the air equally across the cross-section of the adsorber. The distributors are mesh filters built into the inlets and outlets of the adsorber.

A special activated carbon is used in the Aircel AKC to purify the medium from oilvapours and / or odours. The purification of the medium is done by the oil molecules being physically bound to the large inner surface area of the activated carbon.
The Aircel AKC is fitted with an oilcheck indicator that ensures continuous quality assurance.
The AKC is equipped with a pressure gauge to indicate the actual operating pressure level.
